‘Start Something New’ is the new single from Rollover DJs with the extraordinary participation of Nic Cester. This is the rst time the Australian artist and the Milanese duo have come together.

The song initially took form at Rollover DJs’ studio in January 2021, during Italy’s second national lockdown. Rocco and Tiberio wanted to create a dance track, but with all clubs closed until further notice “it was incredibly hard to be motivated”, said the DJ duo. When Nic Cester joined in (the three being close friends), things took a more lighthearted trajectory -‘Start Something New’ was born.

An unrelenting slow-disco jam, the song inspires some healthy optimism and Nic’s cheerful and uplifting vocals revive distant memories of happier times, which may come back very soon. Electric bass, percussion and analog synths topped by Nic unmistakable voice are the key ingredients of this entrancing groover, a song that cheekily tilts hat to ‘80s summer hits.
A funk-driven guitar completes this buoyant single, demanding immediate return to the dance floor.

The single is from the new EP ‘Just a Little Bit in My Pocket’ on Rollover Milano label, to be released in October this year.
